Fun Fact: He has a twin brother.
Andrew Caridi is a senior television journalism major and communications minor at West Virginia University. Andrew is a native of Morgantown and has spent the last 3 years of his college career pursuing his passion of being a play-by-play broadcaster, a dream that WVU has helped foster.
Andrew has called games for West Virginia Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, and Club Hockey team since his sophomore year. He has also called a national championship with our Women’s Soccer team, and spent the summer of 2016 calling away games for the Pittsburgh Pirates short season A affiliate West Virginia Black bears.
The 2010 Stanley Cup Final was when he first discovered his passion for hockey, and before he knew it, sports broadcasting. Andrew was fortunate enough to see the Pittsburgh Penguins win a Stanley cup after 5 years of following them.
Outside of broadcasting, he enjoys time with his family and friends. He is forever thankful to have chosen WVU as my next step in education and is excited to challenge himself with another style of sports casing with WVU News.
