Each week, the Best of the Rest section features student work from WVU News not included in the final newscast.

Former Mountaineer Quarterback Christopher Gray's memory lives on through an athletic scholarship. Reporter Jonah Marcum finds out how the scholarship is helping current mountaineers pursue their dreams.

The WVU Collegiate Recovery Program is on campus to establish a community for the purpose of addiction recovery. Reporter Jaclyn Fenton finds out how the Serenity Place benefits the residents of Morgantown affected by heroin.

The NCAA did a study in 2014 that shows less student-athletes use drugs than regular college students. These student-athletes see drug testing and the possible effects on performance as a deterrent. Reporter Reghan Bailey found out what the students thought about drug testing the student athletes.
