Elizabeth Haines was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. She is currently a junior at West Virginia University studying Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sports Communications. When not in class or studying, she likes hanging out with friends or binge watching Netflix.
For as long as she can remember, she has always wanted to do something related to sports. She can remember going to WVU football games with her dad, and cheering on the Mountaineers at a young age. Elizabeth thinks that something special happens when you get thousands of people together all connected by a sport for a few hours. She played sports throughout high school and loved being a part of a team.
When she graduates in December 2017, her dream is to someday be standing sideline reporting for a major sports network.
She has had the opportunity to intern with press row for the WVU Basketball teams, as well as being a beat reporter for the WVU women’s tennis team, and 100 days in Appalachian.
