Fun Fact: I was born on February 29th (leap year). Technically I’m only 5 years old!

Kendall Lewis, 21 years old is from Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, a small town about an hour south from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a senior in the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Communications.

She is a member of Phi Sigma Theta (The National Society of Leadership and Success), the WVU Hip-Hop dance team and is an active participant in a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research. She is also a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. This opportunity keeps her involved with the community by allowing her to participate in various philanthropic events such as the monthly donations to various organizations and raising money for Ruby Memorial Hospital and Women’s Heart Health.

After competing in a pageant and winning the “Top Interview” award, Kendall started watching the news more and more. She loved the way they spoke and the action. It was a thrill and something she looked forward to viewing everyday, and still does. Last semester, Spring 2017, she covered the WVU Men’s Ice Hockey Team where she interviewed players and coaches, and put together video packages that were shot, edited, and narrated by her. Her dream job is to become the youngest news anchor in history.
